Above Ground Pool Planning & Building Process:

• Your property will require a land survey, pool permit, electrician and/ or gas fitter depending on which pool heater best fits your needs. The pool and equipment’s location is a factor for determining the locations as there are municipal bylaws on how far or close the pool and equipment can be to the property lines and neighboring homes. The pools heater, pump and filtration system should be as close to the house, near your electrical panel inside your house but within 25′ from the pool for heat efficiency and heater warranty guildlines.

• Proper water drainage and run off around the base of the pool is extremely crucial so rainfall and pool water flows away from the gravel and concrete base helping minimize pool movement, settlement, erosion, and excess heaving during freezing temperatures. If your yard has a natural pitch and there isn’t resting water in the backyard that is ideal. Should there be resting water, a clothed weeping tile drainage system around the pools base is strongly recommended and that the pool be built aboveground level so it doesn’t flood with water causing multiple short and long term issues and repairs.

• The pool water level must be a minimum of 16’6″ away from any overhead powerlines or telephone wires that may be located above or beside where you plan to have the pool installed. The location of the pool or the powerline(s) would have to be moved in order to procced with the pool installation.

• Your property must have a minimum 5′ to 6′ high, non climbable fence surrounding the property or the pool itself with self closing gate(s). If your property doesn’t have a fence, a temporary enclosed fence around the pool will have to be installed until the permanent fence is finished.

• We construct every pool base with concrete radius collars, concrete buttress platforms, gravel infill, pressure treated wood Or we construct a 6″ thick compacted gravel base with patio blocks for the pool frame to be installed on. Each pool base construction (Concrete or Gravel) comes with compacted, smooth, masonry sand pool bottom floor to allow for pool movement, foot comfort and helps minimize pebbles and stones from the gravel base below compared to the hard, uncomfortable, portland cement floors that crack just like an inground pool.

• Your aboveground pool project will be completed within are agreed upon time frame, usually within 3 to 9 business days. Turn around time is very quick! Leaving minimal to no damage to your property during construction. Pool size, pool shape, pools location and heater option determines the time duration.
